Mai stood at the counter at the coffe shop she worked at. Her parents were making her get a job, and since nobody in the mall was hiring,(nobody who she would work for) she decided to get a job at the coffe shop. It had a nice atmostphere, and the employee discount was amazing, Mai could get lattes for almost free.
The shop wasn't busy, there was hardly anyone there, besides the staff. Mai hated these days, she liked to have a few friendly faces around. She wasn't friends with any of the staff, because nobody she knew worked there. All Mai wanted is a friend to come in.

Mabel yawned as she stepped up to the counter at the cafe. She didn't come here often, but she was craving coffee. Shd hardly noticed the girl at the counter while she was ordering. "Can i have one small cup of coffee, please?" she said. Mabel looked up at the waitress and immediately recognized her. "Oh, hi Mai!" she exclaimed. "Fancy seeing you here." |

Mai looked up from the magazine she was reading to see Mabel. She was an electric type, and a very livley one. Mai was glad for some company. "Sure." She replied to Mabel's first question. "Hi, Mabel. I work here during the summer, that's why I'm here." Mai said while typing in the coffe on her register. Electric types make good company. Mai thought. "It's been like this all day." She said refering to how empty the shop was. "I'm glad to see a familiar face."

Mabel nodded. "You don't know how bored I was sitting at home watching re-runs of Family Feud," she said. "I had to get out of the house." She looked around the cafe. It really was empty. Mabel got her wallet out of her purse, ready to pay for her drink. |

"That'll be $2.50." Mai looked around. The place looked like a ghosttown. She wondered if it was time for her break. "I think it's time for my break, wanna hang out?" Mai lived for breaks. She wondered why her mom and dad made her get this stupid summer job. It was just plain old anoying.

Mabel handed Mai 2 dollars and 2 quarters. "Sure, anything to get me away from my home." she replied. The cafe was deserted, except for the workers and Mabel herself. It was kind of giving her the creeps. "Do you want to stay here?" she asked. |

"Nah, let's get out of here." Mai said. The lack of people was a little depressing to Mai. I wonder where we should go. "I'll be back later." Mai called to the other staff, as she threw off her apron onto a chair. Mai got out from behind the counter and asked, "What do you want to do?"

Mabel smiled. "Wanna hang out at the beach? We don't have to swim, we could just grab a smoothie or something." she said. It was a sunny day, perfect beach weather. Of course, Mabel didn't like getting wet. She was an electric-type, so it pretty much just stuck with her. |

Mai liked the beach. She also liked the water. Even though she was a Dragon type, Dragonairs could fly and swim, but spent most of their time in water. Of course Electric types hated water. That's why she didn't want to swim. "That sounds like a good idea. Why don't we stop off at my house so I can get a few things." Mai wanted to get her towl, some magizines, and change into some clothes that she wouldn't mind getting wet. Not that Mabel was getting wet.

Mabel nodded. "I should stop at home too, just incase I have the sudden urge to get in the water." she said. She doubted it, though, but miracles could happen. Mabel grabbed her coffee from Mai and headed for the door. "Okay, let's go." she said. |

"I'll pick you up at your house." Mai said as they exited the coffe shop. Since they both brought two cars, they would only need one. Mai started to get into her silver corvette. "Be there in a few." She said.

Mabel headed for her car. She opened the door and got inside. Once she drove to her house, she picked out a purple bikini. Mabel put a t-shirt and jean shorts over it, grabbed some sun-block and sunglasses and put them in a bag. She sat on her living room couch and turned on the TV. Mabel was waiting for Mai, but she had gotten dressed pretty quickly. Mai would get there later. OOC: Eh, I couldn't really write much since she's alone. .___. |

OOC: That's okay, mind if Mai has a fight with Rai when she's at home?  BIC: Mai drove up the long driveway to her house and parked right outside the garage. Her mom hated when she did that, so it just made Mai do it more. Mai got up the long staircase to her room and started looking for her clothes. She found a tote bag and some magazines and put them in the tote. Mai found her favorite towel and stuffed it in the bag too. The only thing she couln't find was her bathing suit, the blue bakini. "Rai, have you seen my bathing suit?" Mai asked her younger sister. She had a feeling Rai was hiding it. |

"No! i think it was in the bathroom!" Rai replied loudly. Of course she had seen it. It was hiding under her bed. Rai loved to take her sisters stuff, even if it was for swimming. It was just fun to see the reaction. She walked out of her room and past Mai, towards the stairs.

"Liar! I already checked there." Mai told her. "Where is it?" She said running at full speed towards her sister's room (Wich was across the hall). She got there to find the door locked. "Open up!" Mai yelled as she pounded on the door. Good thing her mom wasn't home. They would both get in trouble.
