The mind of Corey Capel was not a sane one. As he had been told, anyway. But in his opinion, he seemed perfectly fine. The grocery store wasn't too far from the park, it was only natural that he had ended up here when his original goal was to buy some tic-tacs. Wait, was that why he had left the house? Confused, the teen reached back to scratch his head, furthering the disaster that was his hair. Well, whatever, this was a nice place to be. Just sort of... empty. Kids these days were too busy with movies and shopping to enjoy nature like this... selection hadn't even taken place for this season yet, so there were no birds to chirp, or zigzagoons to rustle in the leaves. Sighing, he sat down. Right where he had been standing, in the middle of the grass... and he showed no sign of getting up.

Mabel sat down on one side of the park, her brown hair blowing as a breeze passed by. She hadn't done much that day. All she really did was watch TV and eat ice cream. Her mom had kicked her out of the house, wanting Mabel to get some fresh air instead of being trapped in her room. So now she was stuck here for the next couple of hours. Great, she had no one to talk to, and nothing to do. And then, as if in answer to her plea for help, she spotted a kid. Not just any kid, though. It was Corey Capel. He went to Mabel's school, but then again, it was the only school in town, so every kid went there unless they dropped out. With a sigh of relief, she headed over to the messy-haired kid. "Hello there, Corey!" she called to him.

"Hm?" If he had been in his leafeon form, his ears would have perked straight up. He turned around, resting his body weight on one hand stuck in the dirt, before deciding to stand. With difficulty, he managed it, and raised the mud-and-grass-covered hand in the air, wiggling it back and forth a bit in what he thought was a wave. "Hello! Uh, hi!" He grinned at his own attempt to find words, before asking a question that should have embarrassed him... but it didn't. "Do I... eh, where do I know you from?" A silly question considering they had seen each other not too long ago, but Corey's memory was useless as always.
